    • State: Public Service Commission, State Board of Education (Districts 1, 3, 5, 7), Circuit Court Judges, District Court Judges, Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice, Associate Justice (Places 1, 2, 3, 4), Court of Criminal Appeals (1, 2, 3), Court of Civil Appeals (1, 2, 3)

    • County: Circuit Clerk, Various County Offices 

  • Can you register to vote online? Yes. 

  • Can student ID be used? Yes 

  • Age Requirement to Register to Vote:18 years old before election day 

  • Check registration status

  • Request an absentee ballot

  • View sample ballot (Ballotpedia.org)

  • Polls Open at 7AM and close at 7PM (Find your polling place)

 primary election: 

  • Last Day to Register to Vote: Feb 16th (to hand-deliver registration form), Feb 17th (to postmark registration form), Feb 19th (to register electronically)

  • Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot: Feb 27th (to apply via mail), Feb 20th (to apply in person)

  • Last Day to Deliver Absentee Ballot: Mar 4th (to hand-deliver the ballot), Mar 5th (must be received by noon if returned by mail) 

  • Early Voting: None

  • Election Day: March 5th (run-off on April 16th, if necessary)  

 general election: 

  • Last Day to Register to Vote: October 21st 

  • Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot: October 29th (to request by mail), October 31st (to apply in person)
