  • Last Day to Register to Vote: July 22nd (online or by mail), August 5th (in person)

  • Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot: August 2nd (must be returned by August 6th) 

  • Early Voting: June 27th to August 4th   

  • Election Day: August 2nd 

 general election: 

  • Last Day to Register to Vote: October 21st (online or by mail), November 4th (in person)

  • Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot: November 1st (must be returned by November 5th)  

  • Early Voting: October 26th to November 3rd

VOTING 
RESTRICTIONS

Senate Bills 1003 and 1485 will restrict vote by mail access by imposing stricter signature requirements for absentee ballots and changing requirements to remain on absentee voter lists, respectively (Source: StatePress)

IMPACT ON 
STUDENT VOTERS

A new Michigan law requires voters to only have one address. So, a student must choose to use either their home address or their school residence address.
