VOTING INFORMATION

 voting overview:  

  • Offices on the Ballot: U.S. Senator, Governor, Attorney General, Congress members, State Legislators

  • Can you register to vote online? Voters are not required to register to vote in North Dakota   

  • Age Requirement to Register to Vote:18 years old before next election 

  • Can Student ID be used? No 

  • Request an absentee ballot

  • Polls open at 7am and close at 8pm. as long as you are in line by 8pm, you will be able to vote.

 primary election: 

  • Last Day to Register to Vote: July 19th

  • Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot: August 2nd

  • Early Voting: June 24th to August 8th 

  • Election Day: August 9th  

 general election: 

  • Last Day to Register to Vote: On Election Day in Person 

  • Last Day to Request an Absentee Ballot: November 7th

  • Early Voting: September 23rd to November 7th 

  • Election Day: November 8th
